It ended up being a Call of Duty 4 session, still a blast though!
Hah and aye, it's not worrying me on a daily basis. Just get them moments where I sit there thinking "What's the point?". It's life, comes and goes.
And hurr, logically, aye that's exactly what I should do. And really, as complicated as I might think the sit more…

How was your birthday? Good GTA session?
I just turned 30 and I still worry that I'm wasting my life, or missing out, or that the decisions I make now (like writing this instead of working... ;) ) might be the wrong ones... etc. So does everyone I know. You're young and surprisingly bright - you have years before you need to worry abou more…

Heard of that one, supposedly it's 'good'. I'll take your advice and save me the three quid for renting it..
And hah, easier said than done. It's so simple to spot what's wrong with a movie, moments where you think "What the hell is the director thinking?". But when you sit there and have to make it it's probably a completely different more…

Maybe you should go into movie making! ;) more…

Yep. If you need to cry, do so. If not, don't. Never hold it in, let it out in whatever way suits you. Then move on. It's how life works, and it's working as intended. more…

well said! Time is a healer of all things- if something bad is happening right now, in a few months time you'll probably be laughing about it (in most cases at least...)
Although, i will never say no to a good old weep-a-thon. Sometimes we gotta let it all out, but once youve cried yourself dry, your ready to sort it all out! more…

I know gaming is becoming a bigger market. But competitive gaming is still not at the stage where you can call it a reliable career. Sure, some Koreans do get paid, but compared to how many gamers there are, not a lot of them do.
Another thing is that the game is Guitar Hero. Not much tactic involved, just a test of reflex and hand eye more…

dropping out of school is never a good thing! But then again, Gaming is becoming a sport gradually- if you check out Korea and Japan, they have 'athletes' being paid thousands to play games. Unfortunatly, GH is not really a game of much variation (success lies with your mistakes, not with defeating the AI), thus i can never see it being a Game to r more…

If he was a real guitarist, I still wouldn't say dropping out would be the ideal bet. But yeah, seems like his parents are amongst the.. less smart.. Christians.
I'm not living in America but I thought Christian schools had a reputation for being quite strict/regulated? Doesn't really agree with how his parents are thinking. more…

The moment you said "Christian school" it all made sense.
I wish he was playing a real guitar instead.

Seen the film Tenacious D a while ago, so I suspect I'll have heard it. Although I can't pick it out from memory now.
Sepultura is a (was a) thrash/death metal band, if I'm not mistaken? Think they changed to a more nu metal approach later on, much to their fanbase's distress.
But I'll say that there's not a single song i more…

Heh... takes me back a few years. I dunno what you'd call the music now but one of my favourites back in my heavy metal days was Sepultura.
Have you heard Tenacious D's "The Metal"?
I must admit I could never really get into anything "harder" than Sepultura.
Metal is one of the hardest forms of music to play more…

I hadn't heard of the grenade thrown into the basement. But I can't say I'm surprised. Georgia is not an angel, it's just the smaller country in this conflict. As far as they are concerned, they're killing rebel scum who're damaging their nation. And well, some people lack the morals a person should have. According to RussiaToday Georgia burned a c more…

Hello.
And indeed, it's happening at this moment.
I'll confess that I don't know too much about Putin, but from what I do know he seems to be an.. interesting figure. The Soviet Union is something the Russians pretend never happened, and if you ask them now they're proud of the time of the Tsars. Putin made sure that Russ more…

Hi Rob
Thanks for this post.
It's important to remember that we have been encouraging the US to build a missile defence system in Eastern Europe. Putin has been angry about it for years. We should not ignore Western (predominantly US, but others are involved) expansionism and imperialism.
There's a lot of po more…
